My client is looking for a Solution Architect to join their team. It will be an initial 12 month contract. They are based in Belgium but remote working should be ok._
As an expert solution architect for distributed data solutions, you will :_

- _Define the strategy of integrating, hosting, building, and maintaining various information systems using modern data architecture patterns_
- _Be responsible for best practices and guidelines by delivering high quality architecture & design documentation and products_
- _Assess the systems' architecture currently in place and working with various IT stakeholders to recommend solutions_
- _Provide supervision and guidance to development teams to aim for consistence in practices_
- _Continually research the current and emerging technologies and propose changes where needed_
- _Engage with various stakeholders regarding data platform technology matters (communicate to both business and technical audience) across multiple teams and organizations_
- _Act as Technology (sparring) partner for Business when exploring potential new Business Opportunities where the data platform is centric and bringing added value._
- _Drive new opportunities from a technical perspective but aligned with the business requirements, from the initial ideation / Proof of Concept stage, through to supporting the product delivery._
- _Be able to evangelise and present the opportunities created by the "to be" adopted technology for the AIR platform, as well as being able to understand and demonstrate the risks that it brings._

Requested profile :_

- _10+ years of experience as senior IT software engineer / architect_
- _Significant experience in big data and modern technologies stacks for on-premise and cloud based ecosystems_
- _Experience in delivering cross-functional multi-platform designs, to be used in mission-critical contexts (real-time criticality & high resilience)_
- _A strong communicator with equally strong interpersonal skills, among peers, business and senior leaders within the organization, as well as the technical / development community both inside and outside the organization._
- _Conceptual and creative: you are able to recognize common patterns or generic aspects in elements that seem unrelated at first sight, and to transpose existing solutions in a creative fashion to new situations._
- _Proven experience to effectively delegate tasks and responsibilities while maintaining overall control_
- _Experience of agile practices and methods, especially DevOps, test automation and continuous delivery pipeline_
- _Conceptual and creative: you are able to recognize common patterns or generic aspects in elements that seem unrelated at first sight, and to transpose existing solutions in a creative fashion to new situations._
- _Knowledgeable about data analytics platforms, cloud solutions, AI, APIs and passionate about new technology market trends like data meshes and data fabrics._
- _Have the capability to coach and mentor, junior profiles in the AIR tribe to get the best out of them._
- _Knowledgeable of post-trade market infrastructures (e.g. CSD), knowledge of Enterprise Architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF, IAF) and relevant experience with Agile operating models and frameworks are extra assets._
