    Wat houdt deze vacature in?

    Bij KBC gebruiken we tal van statistische modellen die we intern ontwikkelen. Ze worden gebruikt binnen de domeinen kredieten, markten, finance, asset management en verzekeringen. Vaak om risico's in te schatten, maar ook voor andere doeleinden. Deze modellen ontwikkelen we zowel met traditionele technieken als met artificiële intelligentie-technieken .

    Als Model Validator neem jij deze modellen op de proef. Je checkt en challenget ze, zowel kwantitatief als kwalitatief. Het uiteindelijke resultaat? Steeds betere, sterkere modellen die ons helpen om goede beslissingen te nemen.

    Wat verwachten we van jou?

  • Je voert de validatie van modellen zelfstandig uit van a tot z.
  • Je presenteert de bevindingen van je werk aan model owners, Chief Risk Officers en Chief Financial Officers. Op basis van je analyse, je kennis van regelgevingen en business practices formuleer je een onderbouwd antwoord op de vragen 'Doet dit model wat het moet? Kunnen we het gebruiken?'
  • Je bent in contact met collega's in binnen- en buitenland en soms ook met externe partijen, bijvoorbeeld auditoren en regulatoren. Je bouwt dus een interessant netwerk uit.
  • Je draagt bij aan discussies over methodologie.

    • Jouw troeven?

  • Je hebt een masterdiploma of bent doctor (toegepaste) wetenschappen: economie, wiskunde, fysica, engineering, ... Ervaring in risk management of finance is een meerwaarde, maar geen must. We voorzien coaching en opleidingen bij je start.
  • Je communiceert sterk in het Engels.
  • Een helder advies formuleren over iets dat heel complex is? Dat lukt je.
  • Je werkt graag zelfstandig en kan om met deadlines.
  • Net als je collega's vind je het leuk om anderen te helpen en om voortdurend bij te leren.
  • Je kijkt ernaar uit om je stempel te drukken op het model landscape van KBC Group.
