Key tasks will include the following:

  • Carry out data collection activities and data analysis using a wide range of both qualitative and quantitative methods
  • Draft high quality documents and reports
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to partners, clients, and other stakeholders and advise clients
  • Contribute to proposal development and writing, including the identification of appropriate methodological approaches and the drafting of budgets
  • Manage projects within allocated time and budget.

The key qualifications required for the position are:

  • Degree/Master's in sociology, economics, political science or other relevant discipline, and a genuine interest in public law and policy
  • Minimum of five years of relevant work experience previous EU consultancy experience an advantage
  • Good understanding of data collection tools, qualitative and/or quantitative research methods, data analysis techniques experience with the European Commission's Better Regulation Toolbox is an advantage
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel; and other quantitative and qualitative analysis tools (e.g. Stata, Python, NVivo)
  • Clear, concise and accurate writing skills in English; knowledge of other EU languages is an asset
  • An independent, selfstarter personality with a commitment to quality
  • Wellorganised, practicalminded and able to prioritise a busy and varied workload.
