Duties:


Inventory Control

  • Responsible for managing the stock room inventory and making transfers and adjustments, as needed.
  • Maintains appropriate levels of stock, reordering expendable items when stock is low and shelving stock after shipments are received.
  • Establishes and maintains appropriate minimum and maximum levels of expendable stock based on reports generated in Integrated Logistics Management System (ILMS) Expendables as well as post's established supply standards and practices.
  • Monitors minimum and maximum point alerts within ILMS Expendables for moving items from primary stock locations to secondary stock locations, when applicable.
  • Conducts cycle counts or spotchecks of expendables on a routine basis to ensure expendable items are in correct locations and quantities are correct.
  • Performs catalogue maintenance by adding and removing items, based on usage, utilizing the Department's system to identify identical items used globally in order to source stock more efficiently.
  • Adds and removes photos, as appropriate, to post's Expendables catalog.

Warehouse Operations

  • Responsible for managing warehouse stockroom operations for expendables, including proper placement and storage of expendable supplies, protection of facility, property and archive maintenance.
  • Ensures that the warehouse supply room is clean, orderly and wellmaintained at all times.
  • Ensures that safety standards and procedures are followed when lifting, shifting and storing items.
  • Distinguishes and separates various agency property in the warehouse to avoid errors by mixing/issuing expendables.

Auctions & Disposals

  • Works with Supply/Warehouse Supervisor to prepare expendable items for auction.
**Record Keeping & Reporting

  • Creates billing and Item Consumption reports using ILMS Expendables ICASS Billing Report for requesting offices/agencies.

Qualifications and Evaluations:


  • Requirements:

EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of two (2) years of experience in supply/warehousing/expendables or property/supply management is required.


JOB KNOWLEDGE:

  • Knowledge of supply chain, warehousing operations and/or property/expendables management.
  • Knowledge in computerized inventory and stock control data programs.
  • Knowledge of local vendors and their procedures.
  • Education Requirements:
Completion of High School is required.

  • Evaluations:

LANGUAGE:
Good working knowledge in French or Dutch. Good working knowledge in English. This may be tested.

  • Strong recordkeeping, technical, administrative skills and attention to details.
