Overview:


As Scientific services specialist, you will be part of the Scientific services team which takes care of the European product portfolio, as well as the technical commercialization of new products regardless of their production location.

You will coordinate the transition from the new products from the lab to the factoryand continuously improves our upscaling processes.

You take care of product optimizations, while maintaining product quality and adjust specifications where needed.

As scientific services specialist, you will lead the technical validation of raw material countertypeing-and coordinate our long term-stability testing of our products.

You will lead cost savings initiatives, which are directly related to our products.

Your technical expertise will also be used to educate the business.

You create trainings on the science behind our products towards internal stakeholders and support CRC and sales with technical queries.

You coach and train our quality inspectors regarding our products and lab methods, early error detection,Finally, you are the back-up for the creation and maintenance of product information databases.


The Scientific services Specialist will work closely together with the Supply Chain departments (Quality, Filling, Blending, ) to provide technical support, mainly in problem solving, change management and root cause analysis, to ensure the continuous improvement of our products and production processes.

You will coordinate the trainings on the science behind our products, towards internal stakeholders trough knowledge sharing and training scheduling (e.g. GMP required trainings).

The scientific services specialist will also support the NPD/QC team to implement new methods within the laboratory, and will support Packaging, CRC and Sales with technical product queries.


Experience you'll bring:


  • Master in (bio)chemistry, Master in bioscience engineering, Civil Engineer or equivalent by experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in R&D or Quality
  • Minimum of SAP or ERP knowledge
  • Fluent Dutch & English
  • Proficient in working with Excel, Word, PPT, Outlook and SharePoint
  • Affinity with R&D, quality, supply chain and packaging
  • Affinity with continuous improvement
  • Strong in communication

Responsibilities:


  • Lead independently RCAs on formulation and packaging related issues and support the business with on other technical problems and RCAs
  • Coordinate the technical aspects of the commercialization of NPD (in SCJ plants and at 3PMs) and execute technical maintenance of our existing EU product portfolio.
  • Lead the technical execution of cost saving projects and when needed execute own lab work
  • Support the business with the continuous improvement of our products and production processes.
  • Coordinate and execute lab work for stability testing (countertypeing, trial production and longterm stability)
  • Support on technical product queries
  • Coach the quality team on technical
  • Develop trainings on the science behind our products.
  • Coordinate and support on the implementation of new methods.
  • Strong and open communication with the stakeholders.
  • Support of the Scientific services Manager on a daily base.
