The European Heat Pump Association (EHPA) is looking for a Policy Officer focusing on Ecodesign and Energy labelling to join the Policy team.

As a Policy Officer your main task will include monitoring of EU initiatives and legislation specifically on Ecodesign and Energy labelling that are relevant to the heat pump technology.

We are looking for a strategic minded person who will lead advocacy work and have an impact on EU policies.

The Role:

As a Policy Officer you will be reporting to the Policy Manager.


You will be responsible for:

• At least 13 year of work experience in EU public affairs.
• University master's degree in a relevant field.
• A good understanding of the EU institutions and procedures.
• Ability to take initiative and work independently.
• Ability to engage and influence policymakers at a high level.
• Passion for renewable energy and environmental issues.
• Interest in heat pump technology and Ecodesign legislation is an asset.
• Experience in communicating in a professional way.
• Excellent writing and authoring skills.
• Proficiency in English. Other languages are an asset.
• Excellent computer skills (Microsoft 365 environnent).
• Positive attitude, proactive, communicative, flexible, teamplayer, sense of humour.
• Working permit in Belgium.
