Head of Business to Government - Sales & Solutions Public Sector

Within this story, we are looking for a Director/Head of the Public Sector sales and solutions teams.


Your Mission
Ensure short term and long term
profitable growthand
optimal managementof the clients in the Public Sector to deliver revenue target.

As Head of the Business to Government segment:

  • Identification of opportunities and barriers to remove to grow the business
  • Definition of
    growth pathsincluding innovation with the support of the sales management team
  • Strong relationships /
    trusted partnerfor the Public Sector
  • Fully understand the business model, the specific needs for bpost and the requirements of thecustomers (public institutions) and hence create new value to customers. Develop sustainable competitive advantage for bpost in that industry, integrate strategic bpost C.S.R. principles in the long term vision for these customers
  • Become the face of bpost for the public customer as well as the recognized unit of expertise in bpost that aligns the industry specific growth needs with the services, solutions and products offered by bpost
Be responsible for the creation design and implementation of this industry related solutions

  • Be responsible for the translation of the
    business unit and sales strategyinto an actionable plan for the institutions
  • Be responsible for the rigorous monitoring of the results and where necessary take appropriate action to adjust.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Define
    strategic visionon business development for your
    industryand supports team in developing a long term vision with
    strategic plan,
    yearly operational plan, and targets (annual & long term) to profitably grow the assigned industries.
Manage
different teamsof highly driven and autonomous managers.

  • Appoint, inspire, lead & coach hierarchical & virtual teams to develop business and reach set goals.
  • Evaluate and develop people.
  • Create work conditions for them to continuously improve their performances
  • Create an environment that "smell sales" and it gives people enthusiasm to work for the unit.
More specifically

  • Bring the managers to high level of excellence in B2B relationship environment on clevel.
  • Support the service teams towards maximum pro activeness in order to increase customer satisfaction
  • Analyses the business processes, based on this analysis you create new concepts and businesses processes for the customers built around bpost competences or competencies of third parties when needed.

This requires in depth know-how and credibility of the business models and processes of our customers and the ability to convince our customers of our findings.


Leadthis
industry strategy thinkingincluding new approach and innovative development, coach and support the service teams including:
Definition of
right industry approachincluding improvement of client needs understanding.

Lead
strategic projects

  • Build strong relationship with partners
  • Define a strategy / solution / communication approach to ensure that specific objectives will be met
  • Follow up on budget / resources / delivery
Support the service teams to
work closely with product management, pricing, operations and other bpost departments necessary for the realization of this industry objectives

  • Provide feedback for continuous improvements of the consumer touch points
  • Makes sure that all solutions are effectively used in the global offering to the customer. This requires a broad knowledge of the total bpost offering, including all subsidiary product offerings.
Lead the sales and service teams to ensure
highest client satisfaction

  • Manages as well customer expectations and ensure relevant service prioritization
  • Define the service grids needed for the customer specific solutions and makes sure that all factories are aligned.
  • Lead/negotiate major tenders with Strategic corporate Account.

Your Profile

  • Master or equivalent in professional experience
  • Min. of 10 years of Management or Sales (B2B) experience
  • Strategic / conceptual previous experiences.
  • Able to manage teams in NL & FR written and spoken presentations in both national languages. Good knowledge of English.
  • Knowledge of the Public Sector (public governance).
