The Cloud Architect role is a key asset of the Cloud & Technology Services horizontal practice and has several key responsibilities and objectives to fulfil.

The balance between these responsibilities may vary in time according to business and presales opportunities, technical fulfilment requirements, infrastructure management team complementarities, and personal experience and preferences.

In these various roles, responsibilities and activities, the Cloud Architect plays an instrumental role in the various teams he/she is involved in, acts as an idea driver and thought leader, with great communication and teamwork capabilities, bringing people and ideas together around solutions design.

Your Mission:

You will work within an Agile team to design, develop, test, implement, deploy, document and support cloud native information systems.

You will present in assistance during relevant parts of analysis, evaluation and reporting.

Presales
As a key member of the Cloud & Technology services presales team, the Cloud Architect will be involved in following roles and activities:

Bid management on infrastructure management and management services opportunities, especially when involving cloud solutions and technologies, leading through example
Bid contribution in defining architecture and design of cloudbased solutions, integrating in overall IT environments and other solutions, with a concise and clear writing production
Develop presales and sales leads through relationship networking and developing contacts
Build and expand the bid repository of reusable presales building block regarding cloud clients references and reusable cloud solution components

Consulting
As a knowledgeable expert in the Cloud & Technology Services team, the Cloud Architect will be involved in following roles and activities:

Be the focal point of technological reference for cloud solutions and approach from a Sopra Steria Group perspective and reflecting further the group strategy inside the local practice
Build a vision, based on personal experience and acquired knowledge, consistent with the group strategy, and create supporting materials and demonstration artefacts
Write cloud consulting story boards and deliver compelling vision statements both in spoken and written presentations and documents
Promote through onthespot consulting interventions with clients and prospects Sopra Steria's vision and actual delivery capabilities
Deliver chargeable cloud consulting missions with clients ranging from outlining strategy with client executives and decision makers, requirements assessment through workshops, solution codesign with technical and solution architects, building associated deliverables

Delivery
As an experienced managed services practitioner in the infrastructure management field, the Cloud Architect will be involved in following roles and activities:

Provide on-the-spot senior delivery capability, from architecture design and implementation to delivery/project management of cloud, or technology-heavy projects where the acquired seniority and experience is a recognized asset
Provide onthespot technical assistance and coaching to project managers in charge of infrastructure management projects

Technology watch
As a critical technology advisor in all infrastructure management-related areas, especially focused on cloud technologies and solutions, the Cloud Architect will be involved in following roles and activities:

Actively watch technological observe, track, filter out and assess potential technologies inside the very wide multi-cloud field, sustaining a technology-agnostic, vendor-independent approach but with a rooted opinion
Build a topnotch architecture capability in an environment where technology paradigms evolve on a yearly basis, being able to bring their added value into advice and future consulting
Build a topnotch understanding of the major cloud solutions providers and how they evolve and mature, which clients they attract and how they differentiate in value from each other
Explore in person or guide technology experts and engineers into creating proof of concepts of such emerging technologies, for client showcases
Share knowledge inside the infrastructure management team through workshops and coaching, helping to build the whole team capability in cloud and related technologies
