Under general direction of the HR Director XSYS Global and in close alignment with local Management, administer the Human Resource initiatives at our production site at Ieper, Belgium.

This will include the monthly payroll of our appr.

65 employees (Blue collar and white collar) in liaison with the external partner SD worx, and it will also include administrative tasks like recruitment, onboarding, dealing with employee requests and supporting the local management in their activities and personnel related questions as well as supporting employee development programs.

The job in detail:

Oversee the time registration in Protime and prepare and run the monthly payroll for our 65 employees together with the external partner SD worx
Recruitment, selection and onboarding of new employees in operational as well as technical and administrative areas in alignment with the management using modern tools of recruitment like social media recruiting
Responsible for the organisational and administrative support of all employees (e.g. preparation of employment contracts, sick leave, work accidents, contacts with the social secretariat, holiday certificates, fleet administration, formalities at the beginning and end of service, etc.)
Handling of disciplinary measures and termination processes
First point of contact for our employees in Ypres and our managers to assist them with your knowledge of social legislation, tax, labour law, group insurance, internal agreements, modern HR practices and training
Provide support to managers on performance review discussions, staffing decisions, legal issues regarding hiring practices, and development of position selection criteria.
Partner with plant management with designing organization structure, business processes and systems that are valueadded and support the strategic goals of the plant and the company.
Provides support to operations team to build an organization motivated to achieve operational goals and focused on health and safety and process improvement.
Integral part of the global HR team and support in global projects
Work closely with other administrative departments in the company like finance, HSE, Legal etc. and external partners like auditors to ensure compliance and safety at the workplace for our employees
Other HR projects / topics at the request of the HR Director and per business requirement which would be in conformity with the factor degrees assigned to this job
Employer representative to the works council

You report to the Global Director HR of XSYS and dotted line to the local Business manager. You will be a member of the global HR team that consists of 9 members

YOUR PROFILE:

At least Bachelor's degree in human resources (or equivalent through experience)
At least 5 years' experience as a Payroll specialist and in HR Administration / Management.
Sufficient payroll knowledge and a good knowledge of HR payroll Sd Worx & Protime
Strong MS Office computer skills: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Social legislation, tax and labour law expertise
Solutions oriented
Enjoy working independently and have a motivating drive and a structured work approach
Proactivity, resultorientation, discretion and flexibility
Work orderly, accurately and efficiently, even during stressful peak periods.
Perfect command of Dutch, supplemented by a good knowledge of English and possibly German.
