We now have an excellent opportunity for a talented Logistics Operations Supervisor to join our team in Liège. In this role you will work side‑by‑side with a team of four logistics colleagues, combining hands‑on involvement in daily operations on the floor with guiding the team, organising workload and driving performance improvements. You will be the driving force of our logistics operations, ensuring the smooth transit of goods from reception to customer delivery, including meticulous stock management. You will oversee daily logistics, manage the cold chain, control inventory and enhance inter‑departmental cooperation. Your leadership will solidify our position at the forefront of life science research and molecular diagnostics.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Direct Operations: Lead a team of four logistics specialists with expertise in all aspects of logistics - from picking to shipping worldwide
- Ensure all activities follow SOPs, quality standards, and EMEA warehouse policies
- Manage and follow up on non‑conformances and deviations in close collaboration with Quality team
- Optimize Performance: Implement tools and processes for continuous improvement
- Collaborate for Success: Work hand-in-hand with internal teams to streamline goods flow
- Metrics Mastery: Develop and review operational metrics that keep us at the peak of efficiency
- Quality Champion: Work alongside the Quality department to ensure the highest standards. Develop, support, and review the operational metrics/KPIs, reports, process documentation in compliance with the EMEA Warehouse policies
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Educational background in Logistics Management or equivalent experience
- Adept at warehouse and logistics principles, including lean techniques
- Familiarity with regulated product supply chains, Cold Chain experience
- Good knowledge of Excel (formulas, basic analysis, reporting)
- Proficiency in ERP systems like Oracle/SAP and planning software
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills
- Fluency in English and French
