    Within our department Compliance with the mission of providing expert guidance and ensuring a sufficient level of monitoring, we are seeking a Compliance Expert for supporting the development of the team expertise and coaching.

    The team consists of 5 colleagues who are waiting just for you

    Your responsibilities

    As Compliance Expert your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing, reviewing & implementing the necessary systems & documentation to comply with the applicable compliance framework;
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations for the insurance sector;
  • Drafting and executing specific parts of the compliance monitoring and action plans;
  • Contribute to the Compliance Risk Assessment and analysis;
  • Monitor compliance risks in line with the Plan;
  • Reporting on specific compliance risk (internal & external) and implementation of standards, following internal standards and local regulations;
  • Ensuring that Athora Belgium has adequate policies and procedures in place in areas of expertise.

    • Your profile

  • You have a university degree in Law, Economics, or Management or the equivalent experience.
  • You have 3 to 5 years of experience in a legal, Compliance or control role in a financial institution (preferably a Life insurance company).
  • You have excellent knowledge of French or Dutch and a good command of the other national language and are comfortable working in English.
  • You are well organised, analytical and results oriented.
  • You are rigorous, organised and can manage your priorities and respect tight deadlines.
  • You are able to work and learn quickly and at a sustained rhythm in a dynamic environment.
  • You can communicate with all kinds of interlocutor and are able to present results to senior management effectively and clearly.
  • You like to rise to a challenge.
  • You dare to think outside the box and do not hesitate to make suggestions.
  • You are dynamic with an open mind.
