Introduction:

One of our clients is currently looking for an experienced security professional to support the Security team on a multi-year transformation program of the customer's operational systems supporting European aviation.

The work is performed in close collaboration with the customer's Security Officers, business stakeholders, Solution and Infrastructure Architects, Developers, DevOps teams, as well as teams responsible for Operations.

This is a customer-facing role. The consultant will be supported by team members but needs to be able to work independently.

Skills, knowledge, experience required:

Minimum 10 years' security experience covering multiple domains including architecture planning, identity and access management, vulnerability management, security operations, security monitoring, security automation, and risk management;
A university degree, preferably with a specialization in information systems security or computer science;
A security certification (CISSP, CISM, CISA, CompTIA Security+ or similar);
Experience in complex transformation programs/projects;
Handson knowledge and technical experience of a broad range of enterprise technologies, tools, and systems;
Working knowledge of cloud technologies and hybrid architectures (MS Azure and Microsoft security tools are required, other cloud technologies are an advantage);
Operational experience with a clear understanding of the needs and challenges of operating a mission critical system;
Familiarity with industry standards and best practices including the ISO/IEC 27000 series and the CIS controls;
Ability to work in a multinational and multicultural environment;
Excellent communication skills, both in speech and writing;
Result focus: ability to understand team objectives and proactively move toward shared goals;
Team player and mentor: ability to work with various teams beyond the security community;
Understanding of business requirements and the role of security as a business enabler;
Ability to manage ambiguity: formulating assumptions to move forward even with limited input, but also knowing how to elicit information to validate those assumptions and when to ask questions;
Professional conduct in line with the corporate behaviors of the customer, i.e. resultdriven, readiness to change, customer focus, integrity, and teamplayer approach;
Proficiency in English (oral/written).

Desirable:

Practical DevSecOps experience;
Handson experience/certification or equivalent in the aviation and air traffic management (ATM) domains;
Experience with collaboration, ITSM, and development support tools including the Atlassian stack, ServiceNow, and Jenkins;
Knowledge of mission critical systems.

Duties/role:

Conducting requirements analysis;
Performing security risk assessment and recommending appropriate controls;
Reviewing architecture designs;
Ensuring building adequate security safeguards during the planning and implementation of supporting operational processes.
