master degree in biomedical sciences, medicine, biomedical engineering, biology or other related disciplines
knowledge of Matlab and Python is a plus
good communication skills and ability to work in a team
The PhD project is funded by the European Union (EIC Pathfinder grant HYPERSTIM) and involves:
electrophysiological recordings and microstimulation in visual cortex
functional imaging during microstimulation
behavioral measurements during microstimulation
The research group investigates the visual and motor system in human and nonhuman primates for basic and translational research. The PhD student will be part of a team with a diverse background working a range of research projects with the aim of bringing basic research findings to patients.
