External and Government Affairs Coordinator (EU Focus)

As a Coordinator in the External and Government Affairs team, you will play a crucial role in advising the business on its' interactions and understanding the political landscape to shape the company's strategic direction.

A key element of this role will also be to support activities around Nissan's membership of the European Automotive Manufactures Association (ACEA) and the regional chairperson's attendance at ACEA board meetings.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Draft concise and informative briefings for use in engagements with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Effectively communicate complex regulations in clear and accessible language.
  • Cultivate relationships with key internal stakeholders in purchasing and HR teams to facilitate the recruitment of staff and professional services.
  • Coordinate logístical aspects of engagements and team visits, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Develop and maintain workinglevel relationships with incountry colleagues and government agencies.
  • Deliver regular updates to the team on the political and regulatory environment in specific EU countries.
  • Assist EGA director and manager with budget tracking
  • Handle tasks, such as organizing meetings, team events and managing team trackers.

Key Skills:


  • Strong written and spoken communication skills in English for drafting briefings and engaging with stakeholders.
  • Ability to understand and interpret complex regulations and policies
  • High degree of attention to detail.
  • Proactive approach with the ability to work autonomously if required, in a fastpaced environment.
  • Solutions driven and commitment to problemsolving
  • Strong team worker and ability to hit the ground running
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Proficient in working with tight deadlines and delivering highquality work.
  • Desire to contribute to the success of the team and broader business objectives.
  • Previous experience in a government department, think tank, or one of the EU institutions is desirable but not required.
  • At least 1 year of experience is required
