As a
Purchasing manager**, you will be responsible for the supplier selection and management for products and services that improve our company's product cost position and increase our profitability.

In this position you will work closely with key stakeholders.

You will build effective cross functional working relationships on site and be a member of an international team, in which you cooperate and work closely together via virtual communication.

You will report to the Head of Global Purchasing DR and Process Office.

Tasks:

You manage supplier relationship, quality, and delivery within the global sourcing policies for components and OEM (original equipment manufacturer) products, regional and global, as defined
You focus on maximizing the transactional cost reduction through supplier management (reliable suppliers in terms of financial position, quality and service delivered within stable or reduced price for the goods) and spend management. You optimize supply flows to the own and 3rd party production facilities
You actively participate in global, virtual teams to realize cross functional improvement programs
You become a change management and project management leader towards your stakeholders
You analyze and synthesize data
You report on your findings and suggest solutions
You collaborate with coworkers and teams to implement improvements
You evaluate the effectiveness of implemented changes and processes

Specific job content

You are responsible for the sourcing of new supplier for new products & services
You manage the supplier selection process, in cooperation with technical, legal and QARA (Quality assurance and Regulatory Affairs) teams
You drive contract negotiations, set up the necessary agreements and take care of sound governance
You participate in the design to cost process; focus on monitor progress, compliance with schedules, pilot action plans for risk management
You evaluate suppliers on performance, you manage escalations and suggest corrective actions, and this to regulatory requirements
In collaboration with suppliers and other departments you constantly seek ways to improve products and services purchased in terms of cost, quality, and service
You act as a catalyst by facilitating open and effective communication with all stakeholders in the organization about the consequences of the sourcing strategy and the price/market development
You actively contribute to continuous improvement for Purchasing
You work with stakeholders and external sources to mine data, develop analytics tools, and report back on your findings and solutions

Profile

You have a master's degree in engineering or industrial sciences in the field of mechanics or electromechanics or equivalent through experience
You have at least 5 years of experience in Purchasing
You have a good understanding of statistics and databases
You are an expert in problemsolving and you have good analytical skills
You have good interpersonal skills
You are eager in achieving results and willing to lead change
You have a continuous learning attitude (tools, processes...)
You can work in a fastpaced, deadlinedriven environment
You have strong negotiation skills
You have excellent verbal and written communication skills
You have a solid knowledge of German and English. Any other language is an asset
