The Solution Architect is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing effective and innovative technological solutions to meet the needs of clients or the business.

They work closely with development teams, software architects, project managers, and stakeholders to develop robust and scalable technical architectures.

The primary objective is to ensure that solutions meet functional, technical, and operational requirements while adhering to budgetary constraints and timelines.

Responsibilities:

Needs Analysis:
Understand and analyze the requirements of clients or the business for technological solutions.

Architectural Design:
Design robust and scalable technical architectures considering functional, technical, operational, and budgetary constraints.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with development teams, software architects, project managers, and stakeholders to define and refine technical architectures.

Documentation:
Document technical architectures, decisions, and design choices to ensure traceability and understanding.

Technology Evaluation:
Evaluate new technologies, tools, and frameworks to recommend the best technical solutions.

Risk Management:
Identify and mitigate technical risks associated with proposed solutions.

Prototyping:
Create prototypes and proof of concepts to validate architectural approaches.

Technical Oversight:
Provide technical guidance and oversight to development teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Performance Optimization:
Optimize performance, reliability, and scalability of solutions.

Technology Watch:
Stay up to date on technological trends and best practices in the field of software architecture.

Required Skills:

Strong skills in software architecture and design of distributed systems.
Excellent understanding of object-oriented design principles and service-oriented architectures.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, etc.
In-depth knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud computing (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Experience in designing and integrating solutions based on microservices.
Ability to solve complex problems and make informed technical decisions.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work effectively in an agile environment.

Education and Experience:

University degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.

Significant professional experience as a solution architect, software architect, or similar role.

Certification in enterprise architecture or in a specific technology is a plus.

The Solution Architect plays a crucial role in the success of technological projects by providing an overall vision, technical expertise, and innovative solutions.

This position requires a combination of advanced technical skills, leadership abilities, and good communication skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.

English mandatory/Dutch is a plus

Work Location:
Hybrid remote in 1190 Forest
