We are looking for an Operations Manager for our warehouse located in Kontich, dedicated to one single client in the retail sector.

Your Role :As Operations Manager you will be joining our team of experts and take ownership for delivering excellent performance in all the warehouse activities assigned to you. You will focus on supervising the day-to-day activities assuring that targets are met and manage the execution of the plan to strengthen value delivery for our customer. The day-to-day warehouse activities consist of a reception, inbound, outbound, storage, and more... Strengthening customer value includes building the plan and actively taking part in the execution of it.

Your Responsibilities:

Manage to oversee daily operations, and work closely with shift leaders and staff to meet internal and external goals. Good communication and problemsolving skills are vital to working with employees and customers.
Supervise diverse projects within the warehouse environment. You will take the lead for the whole process of projects such as the operational implementation of new products etc.
Maintain and strengthen the existing continuous improvement of our Kuehne+Nagel Production System by actively stimulating and supporting it in your team, and leading projects.
Build and enhance your team. Take on the final responsibility for people management, support in staff recruitment guidance and evaluation in general, training, coaching, and more.
Monitor and follow up on our quality, health, safety, and security policy (QSHE) including safety meetings and walks, security audits, followup of data quality in different databases, and more. #LI-AM
Develop the tactical and operational plan for your warehouse area to support the realization of the strategic plan of the whole organization. Contribute to the development of that strategic plan during the planning phase.

Your Skills and Experiences:

Master's degree or equivalent in Logistics, Transport or Supply Chain,
A minimum of 3 years of successful management in a similar role, experience in retail is a must,
Analytical skills and concern for quality. Operational and tactical decision making expertise,
Social negotiation abilities, diplomacy skills to create a consensus, a strong team spirit, and outstanding stress management skills,
Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint,),
Fluent Dutch and English are required, French is an asset.
