At the Whiteam we are seeking an
Application/Cloud Architect to join our team in Brussels (near-site) and work with the European Commission.

The Commission is looking for support for the search facility and Your Europe's CMS Business Manager and for the development team.

This will include in particular analysis of feedback from different stakeholders (mainly Commission staff and national coordinators in member states); translation of feedback into instructions for the development team or new requirements; monitoring of development; support to users.

**TASKS

Analysis of the integration of different information systems.
Data analysis and data modelling.
Coordination of the implementation of the technical architecture.
Development of high quality IT systems
Definition of the proposed solutions for fixing or improving our IT systems
Documentation of the existing IT systems
Assistance with in identifying improvements to our IT systems
Production of software architecture documents.
Participation in technical working groups, progress meetings and meetings with the users.
Assistance during relevant parts of testing, analysis, technical documentation, deployment, evaluation and reporting.
Creating designs and blueprints of Cloud Architecture.
Review of the architecture of existing systems to migrate of existing system in the cloud. Design and development of architecture components and building blocks using cloud components.

**SPECIFIC EXPERTISE

Minimum 2 years of experience in microservices architecture and design of information systems
Minimum 2 years of experience in Architecture as code with cdk
Minimum 3 years of experience in TypeScript with a focus on backend development
Minimum 3 years of experience in NodeJS with a focus on backend development
Minimum 5 years of experience in relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, etc.)
Minimum 5 years of experience with SQL language
Minimum 2 years of experience in NoSQL databases
Minimum 3 years of experience with Amazon Web Services, and more specifically experience in: Lambda programming, Cognito, Athena, Glue, Cloudfront, WAF, API Gateway, S3, route 53, Quicksight
Minimum 5 years of experience in Object Oriented design patterns
Minimum 3 years of experience with web services (REST and SOAP), with expertise in the design and development
Minimum 2 years in the development of graphical user interfaces
Minimum 2 years of experience with Angular2 framework or similar
Minimum 2 years of experience with JIRA and GIT

CERTIFICATIONS
Following certificates & standards are an asset for the performance of tasks:

Certified DevSecOps Professional (CDP) certification.
AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD).

The services shall be performed remotely in Near-site location allowing to reach the Commission premises in in Brussels within 2 hours.

Laptop will be provided by the Commission. The external service provider may be requested to participate in the meetings with the Commission's services in in Brussels (and exceptionally in other locations)
