The Legal & Policy Team is Snap's dedicated in-house law firm, policy consultant, lobbyist, thought partner, and all-around advisor.

This team helps Snap do the right thing the right way, make better decisions, understand and manage risks, and creatively navigate challenges, both external and internal.

We partner with Snap team members on a wide array of matters, including privacy, product, IP, commercial transactions, corporate governance, employment, acquisitions, litigation, and policy, and social impact.

We're looking for a Public Policy Senior Manager to join Snap Inc.

Located in Brussels, as a member of the EMEA Public Policy team, the role reports to the Head of Public Policy Brussels.


Brussels is increasingly the epicentre for the development of new legislative and regulatory solutions for the tech sector and Snap's relations with the EU institutions, Member State governments and other key public stakeholders are of the utmost importance.

Ensuring that Snap's distinctive voice is heard and accommodated in these policy-making circles will be a key priority.- What you'll do:

  • Responsible for managing the day-to-day interactions and relationships with the main EU institutions and related stakeholders in Brussels.-
  • Co-design, and execute the public policy plan for Snap's engagement with the Brussels EU community.-
  • Drive and lead Snap's outreach and external engagement with the European Institutions and other policy stakeholders in Brussels.-
  • Further deepen the company's relationships with key institutional stakeholders, trade associations, non-governmental organizations, and other influential partners in Brussels by representing Snap in meetings with government officials, companies, roundtables, events etc.-
  • Lead the design and implementation of policy strategies and advocacy campaigns-
  • Be the first to act and respond to the appropriate public policy inquiries and consultations.-
  • In a close collaboration with the Brussels' team, lead on the online safety-related EU regulation/policy-
  • Work closely with the Head of Public Policy Brussels, the Director of EMEA Public Policy and the European public policy team, and on occasion the VP of Global Public Policy and the senior executive organization.-
  • Collaborate with Public Policy, Legal and Business teams to analyze legislative initiatives, advise on risks and opportunities and develop company policy positions and messaging-
  • Partner with the Communications team to help them appropriately respond to Policy-related media inquiries, by providing the correct policy narrative that best represents Snap Inc.-Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • A proven ability for shaping, and working with, government officials, NGOs, coalitions and other stakeholder groups-
  • Good EU tech policy understanding and existing relationships within the EU institutions and the wider Brussels community-
  • Excellent communication and advocacy skills and sound political judgment-
  • Forward thinking and proactive ability on legislative, regulatory and public policy issues. Ability to rapidly understand and master complex policy issues-
  • Ability to work with Snap business to identify pertinent issues and orient the public policy team to meet priorities-
  • Ability to work independently/ self-starter in a fast-paced, multicultural environment-
  • Team player with a positive attitude, articulate and thoughtful-
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a wide range of external groups and individuals, including those who are opponents or critics-Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master's degree or advanced studies in law/economics/European studies/affairs-
  • 8+ years relevant experience in EU public policy and public affairs-
  • Strong experience (4+ years) on EU tech policy, ideally working on content moderation and platform regulations-Preferred Qualifications:
  • Working experience (4+ years) in Brussels-
  • Previous experience working with the European Commission (ideally DG Connect, DG Home) or other European institutions such as the European Parliament-
  • Full English proficiency necessary and additional EU language preferred
