The efforts and priorities of this role include supporting the on-time delivery of the R&D pipeline, ensuring compliance/quality/performance/value of the services/products received/acquired, and identifying opportunities to accelerate improvements to each, focusing on the contracting, continuous improvements, and benefit delivery.

Key responsibilities:

Accountable for leading the Material & Media Preparation team in charge of:

Preparation and supply of media & buffer with the required quality and quantity in line with R&D workload and priorities
Setup, update and document recipes for new buffers and media based on users' requirements
Cleaning and sterilizing (if applicable) of lab materials or disposables
Providing the services linked to cleaning program (dry fog included) of lab facilities performed with the support of lab teams and subcontractors.
Housekeeping of the lab facilities

Accountable for leading the Lab Provisioning & Supply/Warehouse team in charge of:

Ensuring provisioning and inventory management of goods at stock level to support R&D laboratory demands and priorities.
Invoicing followup and management in collaboration with Procurement and account department
Defining with users and EHS requirements of incoming materials.
Performing control & release of incoming materials and equipment
Ensure risk assessment for all chemicals to be used and define appropriate storage conditions and working procedure to minimize exposure.
Business Continuity Planning for R&D lab supplies
Performing periodic review of provisioning practices, supply performances, spent of lab supplies
Identifying ways of improvements (e.g. in a 3year Plan): stock shortage prevention, writeoff reductions, cost reduction, subcontracting opportunities, etc.
Organize transport logistics operations (materials, media, samples) between Belgian sites & buildings
Maintain accurate and upto date inventory records including tracking and usage and anticipating future needs
Develop and implement procedures for the safe handling and storage of lab supplies and equipment in compliance with EHS and Quality requirements

Monitoring Management and KPI reporting:

Accountable for the MM and the performance of Lab Supply & Logistics activities
Develop and maintain KPI's to track supplies performance and identify area of improvement
Prepare and present supplies performance report (Safety, Quality, Supply, Cost and People)

Continuous Improvement:

Lead specific process improvement initiatives
Responsible for Belgium Lab Supply & Logistics continuous improvement and simplification, as well as alignment with Italy and US on ways of working and/or systems where feasible
Proactively drive a mindset of continuous improvement of processes and value creation without compromising compliance, quality, or customer service

Business partnering & stakeholder management in GSK:

Establish strong relationships with key business stakeholders in R&D and effective partnerships with EHS, Procurement, and Quality

Risk Management / ICF:

Ensure existing Business Continuity Planning for Lab Supply & Logistics
Identify and mitigate risks (within remit) that impact the Lab Supply & Logistics organization
Ensure audit & inspection readiness within their remint and manage the related followup activities
Lead specific process improvement initiatives

_ Why you?_:

Basic Qualifications:

Degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration or a related field with the relevant professional experience required
5+ years of experience in Production, Logistics in Pharma, Biotech R&D
Understanding of operations in a Biopharmaceutical environment, specifically in providing supplies and services.
Understanding and interpretation policies and their implications for Vaccines R&D Lab Operations processes.
Fluent in French and English
