As Project Manager, you act as right hand of the Continuous improvement team in order to support the MPU in becoming a performing Manufacturing Production Unit.


To achieve this, you develop, coach and enhance a culture of continuous improvement to do things in a simpler, smarter, quicker a more robust and reproducible way.


Your responsibilities:


  • You identify the key areas for improvement via a datadriven process and in agreement with the different teams in the MPU and as such you help determine the Continuous Improvement (CI) Strategy and plan aligned with the MPU
  • You lead, support and facilitate CI projects that have a Value StreaM/Function impact and that will deliver business benefits to the MPU.
  • You ensure delivery of benefits as identified in the projects business cases
  • You provide expert advice, support and mentoring to Project Leaders (Orange Belts) and MPU employees on CI tools and methodologies. You actively encourage and support the use of collaborative tools and processes to enable lean and effective multiple department and functional working.
  • You act as a mentor and a coach for CI tools & methodologies.
  • You ensure effective communication for CI programs / projects
  • You build a strong network with other CI experts (GSK Vaccines/GMS) to exchange learning and good practices You support Lean/GPS projects within the MPU (Tier accountability, problem solving, GEMBA; 5S, Operational standard work).

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • At least 3 years of experience in operations in an industrial environment
  • Strong relationship builder and communicator
  • Strong coaching/influencing skills
  • Six Sigma knowledge
  • A demonstrated openness to change

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Experience in project management and change management
  • Experience in process improvement & lean manufacturing
  • Green Belt certified
