**Overall purpose of role
**We are looking for a Customer Development Manager Pharma eager to contribute to our vision and bring established pharma sales expertise to our team.

The Customer Development Manager's role is to deliver our Business plan objectives at Key Accounts & Wholesalers including building customer partnership with our Lead Customers.

Key responsibilities will be the development of strong commercial strategy & activity plans which are customer centric, negotiate yearly agreements and drive perfect execution of these plans.

The customer development manager will be part of the cross-functional pharma squad incl. Brand Activation and Customer Activation.


Your key areas of responsibility.

  • Lead pharma Commercial Strategy & Activity Plan at Key accounts & Wholesalers:
  • Actively participate in the development of the strategic commercial policy for the account portfolio (promotional plan, national agreements, category solution, gross margin,...).
  • Proactively leads Channel & Account planning process to grow our pharma business and win market share
  • Negotiate and implement annual national agreements for designated account portfolio, according to the defined brand & channel plans for the total brand portfolio
  • Drive Customer Value and Revenue Growth Management initiatives
  • Achieve agreed sales goals (NTS, Gross to Nett, Market share, Gross Profit)
  • Build Customer Partnership at Lead Customers:
  • Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer / account needs on an ongoing basis
  • Drive Value streams: Lead solution development efforts that best address customer / account needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary stakeholders both at customer level as internally
  • Translates insights into actions that challenge the status quo and that reinforce our competitive advantage and drives partnership
  • Develop category & shopper marketing approach at Lead pharma customers: Category growth stories, Strong Trade & customer centric stories,
  • Be key stakeholders in the Pharma Squad to build & develop our pharma agenda:
  • Drive Customer Centricity by always putting customer needs first in our thinking
  • Drive Speed & Agility: Build & reinforce a sense of urgency on key projects; help others understand the criticality of these efforts
  • Support an environment of diverse and inclusive thinking and perspectives
  • Promote a culture of accountability by improving current performances and taking responsibility
  • Leverage best practices: Try new operational practices that have been successful elsewhere in the company
  • Mentor peers or other employees
  • Develop communication and influence skills to have a high impact
  • Analyze the outcome of recent projects; come up with lessons learned reviews to improve future efforts and outcome

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or equivalent
  • 3 5 years' commercial experience in Customer activation, Brand Activation, key account management or sales management in Pharma with a strong track record of results
  • Experience in Selfcare/OTC is a plus
  • Strong experience in stakeholder mapping, influencer marketing and omnichannel is a plus
  • Fluency in Dutch, French & English
  • Strategic & conceptual thinking
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Flexible, entrepreneurial & proactive approach
  • Structured, wellorganized way of working with attention to detail
