Information and Open Access Repository Officer- Business Operations - Leuven | Just now- Developing the institutional repository of imec- What you will do- You develop, in collaboration with other IMEC teams (including ICT, HR, legal and technical teams) the institutional repository to make it attractive and aligned with the expectations (i.e.

preservation and access).

You promote internally the repository, the creation and use of ORCID ID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) and other tools to enable more visibility on IMEC research.
You inform and support on issues such as metadata, copyrights, etc?
You team up with our librarian to offer library support including ebooks, ejournals and bibliographic databases offering, standards orders, hardcopies of books or interlibrary document delivery.
You follow up on evolutions and developments in library science and information management. Also, you participate to workshops or external events and strengthen your network with other stakeholders. Within imec, you translate these developments into internal IMEC policies.

Who you are

You have an education (minimum Bachelor level) as librarian or in information management.
You have worked in an academic/scientific library.
You have experience with institutional repositories.
You are familiar with scientific publishing and academic publishing practices.
You have an overview of the scientific publisher's landscape, open access policies and repositories.
You have excellent collaborative and communication skills
You are interested in Science and Engineering
Assets: Experience on copyrights issues and open license practices, Digital object identifier (DOI), interoperability protocols, metadata standards.
