As a Back-End Developer you are part of our Technology organisation, and play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining the robust back-end infrastructure of our cutting-edge AdTech platform.

Your primary responsibilities include building complex systems, implementing scalable solutions, ensuring seamless integration of features and functionalities, and being involved in building a code base that is enjoyable to work in.

Responsibilities and deliverables

System Architecture and Development: design, develop, maintain the backend architecture of our platform, delivering high performance, maintainable, scalable, and reliable code.
Database Management: optimize database structures and queries for efficient data storage and retrieval. Work with large datasets and implement performant data storage solutions.
Performance and Integration: implement performance optimisation techniques to ensure optimal platform speed and responsiveness. Collaborate with Frontend Developers to integrate userfacing elements with serverside logic.

Functional Collaboration:
collaborate with colleagues across our Technology and Product organisations to exchange knowledge, and share interpretation of requirements.

Security and Compliance: implement and maintain security measures to protect against data breaches and ensure compliance with industry regulations. Stay informed about the latest security threats and technologies to proactively address potential vulnerabilities.
Code Quality and Testing: write clean, welldocumented, and efficient code, and participate in code reviews to maintain code quality standards. Collaborate with QA Engineers to conduct thorough testing of backend components.
Documentation: create and maintain comprehensive documentation for backend code, ensuring knowledge transfer and ease of collaboration.
Proficiency in Java, SQL and Spring is required.
Experienced with security and testing best practices, system monitoring, performance tuning.
Familiar with deployment technologies e.g. Kubernetes, Docker, cloud platforms like Azure.
Familiar working according to Agile/Scrum (SAFe) principles, and Git and GitHub workflows.
Solid analytical and problemsolving abilities.
Solid communication skills in English, Dutch language skills are a plus.
Capable and motivated to maintain comprehensive documentation.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with crossfunctional teams.
