WHO YOU ARE


As the scientist Global Lab Test Harmonization, you are a seasoned scientist who likes to take on challenges and works on different projects at the same time.

You stay up to date on new pre-analytical techniques/processes and propose new procedures to be implemented and offered globally.


You collaborate easily with our partner labs and with our internal scientific lab liaisons to create, roll out and to oversee global pre-analytical processes such as PBMC isolations, ultracentrifugation, DNA/RNA extractions etc.

In addition, you keep oversight on Cerba Research' owned lab procedures, monitor the implementation in our partner labs, monitor service delivery and coordinate tech transfers between and to new labs.


As a true team player, you assist during lab test harmonization processes like transparency evaluation and monitoring results of our global proficiency testing program.

Works Closely with Other science team members, Business Operations, Project Management team, Trial Set Up team, IT teams, and Operations (Logistics etc.)

RESPONSIBILITIES
As the scientist Global Lab Test Harmonization, you are responsible to:

  • Be the internal scientific expert for pre-analytical techniques related topics:
  • Maintain scientific and technical knowledge in the selected area.
  • Identify and propose possible new preanalytical techniques to be implemented.
  • Be an active member of the Science team. Provide scientific training to internal staff and provide scientific material that will be used by the Sales team.
  • Be a scientific consultant for clients:
  • Be the pivotal point of contact between the client, Cerba Research teams, and Cerba Research's partner laboratories:
  • In close collaboration with the laboratory, be a driving force in the harmonization/implementation of preanalytical techniques and processes.
  • Author working instructions, standard operating procedures and training material to achieve global transparency and quality.
  • Coordinate & monitor tech transfers between different Cerba Research's partner laboratories.
  • Lead project meetings with internal & external stakeholders.
  • Provide internal support to the internal teams (Contract & Proposals and Global Project Management) for the harmonization/implementation of preanalytical techniques.
  • Assist the Lab Test Harmonization team by:
  • Coordinating and performing statistical analysis of transparency testing between the Cerba Research partner laboratories.
  • Participate in Cerba Research's global proficiency testing program.

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Seasoned scientist with profound experience in lab processes such as, but not limited to, PBMCs, ultracentrifugation, DNA/RNA extractions, etc.
  • Experience with creating and giving scientific trainings
  • Affinity with operations and efficiency
  • Excellent operating procedure writing skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent understanding of quality systems and requirements for GC(L)P, ISO/CAP/CLIA
  • Above average organization skills, with good time and project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
