DATA ANALYST


Scania is currently undergoing an exciting transformation from a traditional truck manufacturer to a provider of complete sustainable transport solutions.

IT is a crucial part of this transformation as Scania's success is depending on flexible and efficient IT solutions that support current and future business requirements.

The Parts Logistics IT team is now looking for a new data analyst to join this exciting journey You will support operations to develop, maintain and enhance our data driven insights capabilities to boost our management, development and enhancement of our service offerings.

These services make sure our customers and partners stay ahead of their game.


Your challenge
Scania is undergoing a digital transformation where data is the driving force.

By collecting and analysing the data from different data sources, we can create self-improvement and data-driven real time solutions in Qliksense, PowerBI and SAP Analytics Cloud.

Support or lead data science focused projects might be another opportunity for you.

We need to build infrastructure to collect and process large amounts of data, build self-sustaining data analysis services, develop new algorithms/models, and re-use algorithms/models in new and ground-breaking ways.

We aim for a sustainable data structure to long-term support data-driven initiatives. Both for advanced analytics and BI.

You will be part of a cross-functional team where we have dedicated resources and a full set of data competences to create the end-to-end data flow.


Your talents
For this job we are looking for a team player with strong organizing and analytical skills.

You have a hands-on experience in manipulating and analyzing large datasets and modelling them in BI tools like QlikSense, SAP Analytics Cloud and/or PowerBI.

You are able to understand business problems, refine business requirements, develop hypothesis and formulate short
- and long term solution to them. Experience in data science, machine learning and coding skills in Python is a plus, as well as working with aftersales services data.

You have a relevant university or college degree, preferable in Computer science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics and/or related technical field. You are fluent in English, both written and verbal.
