Functieomschrijving- Full responsibility for the Tobacco category & the management of the Tobacco suppliers. This can be added with a shared responsibility for other FMCG's categories (e.g., confectionary).
- Stock management of FMCG's: Monitor inventory, BBD ́s (best before dates) and place orders to replenish stock. Create reports on stocks & depletions.
- Analyze & follow up on supplier performance.
- Organize meetings with suppliers to negotiate best contracts and build close cooperation. Manage prices and draw up margin increase plans.
- Support the sales managers in pricing and products decisions.
- Give advice on retail opportunities for the FMCG's categories to the sales managers.
- Allocate the FMCG products (and especially all tobacco's) with trading risks in close collaboration with the sales team and communicate clearly to suppliers and ODC sales team about this.
- Analyze existing purchasing processes on performance and internal KPI ́s.
- Be responsible for purchase forecasts to suppliers.
- Attend shows & exhibitions to network with suppliers and view new products.
- Maintain a network of professional contacts in order to discover new opportunities.
- You have already built up experience in a purchase role within the FMCG industry, ideally for tobacco or similar products.
- You have a handson mentality.
- You speak fluent Dutch and English.
- You have proven experience in purchase and forecasting software.
- You possess great negotiation skills.
- You have strong written & verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with a variety of people.

- De uitvoering van de aankoopcontracten tot aan de betaling opvolgen (hoeveelheid, kwaliteit, leveringstermijnen,...)
- Prijzen en leveringstermijnen van producten onderhandelen met de leveranciers
- De leveranciers en producten evalueren (audits, tevredenheidsenquêtes, staalname,...) en verbeteringen voorstellen
- Aanbestedingen of lastenboeken voor leveranciers of dienstverleners opstellen
- De bevoorradingsbehoeften van de onderneming identificeren en de markt van de leveranciers en producten prospecteren of analyseren
- Gegevens actualiseren (markttendensen, nieuwe producten, referenties van de leveranciers,...)
- Inschrijvingen op de aanbestedingen analyseren en evalueren of de leveranciers aan de vraag kunnen voldoen
