You will be part of the new IBM Client Innovation Center Belgium where we deliver an industry-leading range of innovative technology services and provide deep technical and industry expertise to local IBM clients across public and private sectors.

Your Role and Responsibilities
Your work will power IBM and its clients, bringing innovation into enterprise systems.

As a Java developer you will:

Development for specific systems on a range of platforms including Linux, Windows and various mobile environments
Working within the entire development life cycle including design, build, and coding
Using objectoriented programming languages and tools to deliver a range of solutions

Who are you?

You are selfmotivated and technically handson
You have several years in Java (8), Spring or other objectoriented programming languages
You have solid experience Software Design Patterns and Database technologies such as MongoDB, Postgres or MySQL
Git and Git branching strategies
Understanding and experience of APIs RESTful services and micro service Architectures

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
To be successful in this role you should demonstrate:

Knowledge of Java
Fluent English and
Dutch or French (written & spoken)
APIs RESTful services and micro service Architectures
Knowledge of Database technologies

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

Experience with TDD and BDD

In addition to your technical skills, we would like you to have a strong business understanding and good communication skills.
