DESCRIPTION

  • As our Data Analyst you interpret data and turn it into information which can offer ways to improve the business, thus affecting business decisions.
  • You will gather information from various sources and interpret patterns and trends as such your job does highlight the
analytical nature of your role.

  • Once data has been gathered and interpreted, you will report back what has been found in a comprehensive study to the wider business, IT and architecture colleagues.

PROFILE

  • Language; you have a perfect knowledge of Dutch and English, French is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • An analytical mind and inclination for problemsolving.
  • Stress resistant, flexible and multitasking and able to adapt in a continue changing environment.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Be able to work independent.
  • Team player.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You will often make recommendations about the methods and ways in which our company obtains and analyses data to improve quality and the efficiency of data systems.
  • Collecting and interpreting data, as well in mainframe as in linux systems.
  • Analyzing results of possible transformation.
  • Reporting the results back to the relevant members of the business, IT and architecture and explain it from different perspective.
  • Identifying patterns and trends in data sets.
  • Working alongside teams within the business or the architecture team to establish business needs.
  • Defining new data collection and analysis processes.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Language; you have a perfect knowledge of Dutch and English, French is a plus.
  • You have at least a master's degree in computer science or similar through experience.
  • You have 3 years knowledge and experience as a data analyst or functional analyst.
  • You have experience in the insurance industry.
  • You have knowledge of the MS Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel,).
  • You have experience in data models and reporting packages.
  • You have the ability to analyse large datasets and write comprehensive reports.

Nice to have's

  • Experience with Scrum.


  • Knowledge of PRINCE

  • Experience with Enterprise Architect.
  • Experience with Jira.
  • Knowledge of working in a broker/bank environment/agency.
