Portfolio Account Manager - BeNeLux region


Reporting to the Sales Manager of France and Benelux countries, you will be based remotely within a human-sized commercial team.


After learning all about our internal processes, the markets, and our complex Solutions (including Smart metering, Water Operations Management, and Smart city solutions), your main responsibility will be to sustain and expand business activities in the BeNeLux region (Belgium, Netherlands and Luxemburg country).

You will contribute to selling complete solutions (mainly software and services) and maintaining legacy business (mainly water meters) to our existing customers and prospects.


This position involves extensive travel in the region to establish and maintain a close relationship with customers (utilities, public administrations) and partners.


Main duties and responsibilities:


  • Qualify, develop, and maintain thorough company and product knowledge, research utility and smart city needs, and identify how our solutions can provide value to customers.
  • Understand customers' needs and design customized solutions with our technologies and services.
  • Participate in the preparation of RFI & RFQ, technical proposals, tender responses, solution presentations, etc.
  • Perform incisive and insightful market and competitive research to identify new opportunities.
  • Generate leads and grow existing relationships, maintain an accurate, detailed opportunity list, and develop an active customer base.
  • Identify potential business and technical channel partners to grow our business.
  • Develop and keep alive a pipeline of opportunities to build a longterm forecast.
  • Conduct quarterend and yearend close processes.

Preferred skills and experience:


  • Commercial or Technical degree with at least 5 years of successful experience in Sales/Business Development by selling complex and addedvalue solutions (hardware, software, and services) in an international context.
  • Prior experience with the Belgian and/or Dutch public tender processes is required.
  • Preferably coming from the energy sector, proposing solutions to enable companies, utilities, municipalities, and governments to improve their daily and longterm performances.
  • Passion for sales, ability to generate new leads, build relationships with public officials, and Clevel stakeholders, and close deals.
  • Outstanding ability to convince others and maintain an effective business network.
  • Excellent team spirit and communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Fluent English and Dutch skills are mandatory, and French is nice to have
  • A driver's license is required.
