Building powerful visuals requires a unique combination of analytical, creative and communication skills. We are building a team of motivated people who live at the crossroads of these different skills.

We are currently looking for an
experienced front-end (or full-stack)
developer to help us shape the development branch of Baryon.

You will be working together closely with our junior front-end developer to turn the ideas of our clients and concepts of our designer(s) into reality.

You should be:

Interested in (learning about) data, charts and maps, and open to continuously learn new data visualization tools and technologies.
Ready to work in a small team with big ambitions, and willing to take on a considerable amount of responsibility within the company.

You should be fluent in English. Knowledge of Dutch is a big plus.

What will you be doing?:

We guide our clients through a 3-step process: analysis (basic data analysis, desktop research, user interviews, storyline development), concept design (style exploration, creating wireframes and mockups), and development (digital design, front-end development, dashboard building).

As a developer, you will mainly be responsible for the development step, but will also think about technical requirements in the analysis step (often together with the client) and the concept design (together with our designer(s)) to explore the possibilities and their feasibility.

We are a small company with high growth ambitions. That means that we cannot offer you an easy job with a fixed task description.

You will play a key role within the company, and be responsible for streamlining, optimizing, growing and managing the development branch of the company.

Be prepared do deal with clients in sales meetings, brainstorms and design presentations. No worries, we are here to help

Baryon is based in Gentbrugge, Belgium.

A lot of the work can be done from home, but we also offer you a coworking spot where you should work with the rest of the team at least 2 to 3 days a week.
