The Role:

We are looking for an intern to join our Technology & Digital Economy team in Brussels for a 6-month paid internship, starting early January 2023.

This is an opportunity to be fully part of client teams and gain first-hand experience of European public affairs, as well as have an impact in our Technology & Digital Economy team.

What you'll do as you move with us:

• Research & monitor policy and media developments on technology and digital policy, geopolitics, competition etc. at EU, national and international levels
• Support client work and the implementation of public affairs and communications campaigns, including:
• Mapping relevant stakeholders
• Attending and organising events and conferences
• Writing meeting/event reports and preparing briefings
• Drafting content for digital campaigns
• Analysing policy developments
• Contributing to new business proposals

Experience that contributes to your success:

• Knowledge and a keen interest in EU policy and decision-making processes, with a desirable focus on technology issues, digital policy and/or foreign affairs
• Strong research and analytical skills
• Attention to detail
• Proactive, resourceful and a team player
• Critical thinking with a desire to learn in a fastpaced and international environment
• Further education in a relevant field, such as but not limited to EU or international politics, law, digital policy, competition policy, etc.
• Previous public affairs experience in an EU institution, regulatory organisation, trade association, advocacy organisation (NGO), company or consultancy is desirable (but not essential)
• Familiarity with digital communications and social media tools is an advantage
• Excellent spoken and written English other European languages are an asset, especially a good command of French

What we offer:

• A 6month agreement under Convention d'Immersion Professionnelle ( CIP).

Please note that the CIP agreement excludes any internships for which the intern receives academic credit or undertakes as a part of a degree.
