Thales Belgium SA, Belgium competence center of Thales, is a company located on 2 sites, one in Tubize (near Brussels) and the other one in Herstal (near Liège).

Thales Belgium, which employs more than 280 collaborators, is specialized in the design, development and supply of critical information systems for customers in the sectors of Defense, Security (including Cyber) and Aerospace.

Thales Belgium is currently looking for a
Procurement Process and Tools Specialist for North and Central Europe (NCE) region **, who will report to NCE CPO (Chief Procurement Officer) for
- process and tools deployment and harmonization,
- data accuracy and reporting
- training management.

You will be the referent for all topics related to processes, tools and data for the NCE region.


You are responsible to align the Procurement organization adopting a unique Operating Model & common set of processes & tools & practices.

The Process and Tools specialist plays an important role in how Thales delivers value to customers.


She/he contributes directly on the ability to meet internal and external customers expected service levels by ensuring massification of the Supplier base and any other way to increase the value add of the function and optimize costs.


She/ he will plays also an important role in increasing collaboration and level of integration of the function in key Group processes & businesses.

She/ he maintains close relationship with Group, NCE region, stakeholders and other Process and Tools specialists. She / he interfaces with Supply Chain, Category Buyers, Procurement Project Managers, Supplier Performance Managers, Export Control Officers, finance,...


The position is located in Tubize or Hesrtal, with some travels to countries of NCE (Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark, Austria, Greece, Romania, Poland and Czech Republic).


Main Responsibilities:


_For Process:
_


  • Ensure the procurement global process implementation in NCE region, and minimize the need of specific processes
  • Participate to processes implementation
  • Participate to the harmonization of the Procurement E2E Process across Thales Procurement
  • Contribute to the update of the procurement referential
  • Support, train, and coach procurement teams (Category Buyer, Procurement Project Manager, Supplier Performance Manager, Tactical Buyer), on processes and tools

_For Tools:
_


  • Deploy the tools in accordance with the procurement tool plan (that could include local developments under Value Tower procurement control
  • Take accountability for the global usage of tools by procurement (Supplier master data, sourcing tool, ERPs, BI,...)
  • Contribute Group procurement tool (Suppliers and Sourcing management tool) evolutions in accordance with user needs and data integrity
  • Use Procurement BI to build the reporting, participate to procurement BI evolution if relevant
  • Support the deployment of procurement tools in collaboration with the categories
  • Bring support to procurement community in the usage of tools ,

_For Data _

  • Warranty the quality of Data
  • Support Thales Compliance
  • Contribute to procurement tools specifications
  • Take accountability for making data available for reportings consolidated by global team
  • Generate standard reports for NCE Region, and produce reporting
  • Ensure data integrity of the reporting (monthly dashboard, booklet, )
  • Propose actions plan to improve any breach or gap link to compliance/ process topic

Your profile

Education

  • Master or Bachelor degree in business, IS, supply chain, finance or economics, pure or applied sciences.
  • Minimum of 510 years' experience in procurement or supply chain, in a large multinational project, product, and solutions based setting
  • Fluent in French or Dutch, and in English
  • Completed or ongoing MCIPS (CIPS), CIPM, CSCP or SCOR-P certification (ASCM, ex
  • APICS) or other (APS; CDAF, exESAP; BME; etc.) equivalent certification or qualification is a plus

Knowledge and skills

  • Practical experience of Management in Procurement & Supply Management
  • Experience of global organization and international environments
  • Strong technical comprehension and aptitude
  • Data analysis skills
  • Experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system (SAP, ORACLE...)
  • High level of computer literacy, especially excel and Power BI
  • Excellent working knowledge of procurement practices, policies, and tools
  • Background in Procurement
  • Ability to drive complex Projects Abi
