We are looking for a
Senior Clearance Business Analyst to join us in our
Patient Safety and Medical Management team, based in our HQ in Brussels, Belgium


About the role


The Senior Clearance Business Analyst (SCBA) role is global, strategic, and cross-functional, with a strong focus on future technology and processes.


You will contribute to the ongoing evolution of the Clearance Center of Excellence by ensuring that the associated systems (e.g., SourceClear), libraries (e.g., references, modules), literature intelligence gathering efforts and system user license activation/distribution (e.g., SourceClear licenses at global, regional, and local) are developed and/or maintained in line with the business, CCoE and IT team strategies.

What you'll do

  • Lead the delivery and drive process improvements and efficiencies for the CCoE literature intelligence by ensuring the followin

g:

  • Regular and systematic searches of external databases to identify business critical publications and additional related sources of information in UCB systems (e.g., UCB posters, UCB oral presentation, UCB data on file) on UCB products, competitors and relevant therapeutic areas are conducted
  • Selects, orders and uploads documents into internal databases (e.g., AskMIKE) to centralize access to medical literature within UCB while ensuring respect for applicable copyright legislation
  • Lead the process to ensure all license allocation is appropriate and related training has been assigned / provided (including providing direct training)
  • Ensure appropriate collaboration between the Global/EU Source clear librarians and affiliates via supporting and enhancing a network for Source CLEAR library governance and identify training update(s) following process and system enhancements
  • Act and mentor others as a SourceClear librarian globally, including the SME in managing any updates, including, prereview guidance (e

g:
references Styles guide and trademark guide) Subject matter expert and able to manage update

  • Co-Leads the collection of established CCoE metrics in one database, manages this database and ensures update with relevant CoE member according to defined timelines

nterested? For this position you'll need the following education, experience and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Strong project management skillsets and detailed oriented to ensure adherence to defined processes
  • Experience working in the field of public disclosure
  • Demonstration of learning agility and interest
  • Knowledge of Good Publication Practice and ICMJE Guidelines for scientific publications related to clinical research and healthcare
  • Several years' experience working in the pharmaceutical industry, specifically in medical affairs / medical operations
  • Experience in the retrieval of medical literature using webbased databases (including the execution of complex search strategies, the use of standard search operators, and principles of scientific indexing)
