Job Summary:

As part of the Terumo Supply Chain Planning team, the main responsibility of the Supply Planner is to support the supply chain process and to secure the product availability.

  • A Supply Planner in his job:_
- "Approximately 1 year ago, I joined the SCP team in Haasrode after working almost 10 years in our distribution warehouse in Genk. Normally the intention was to be a back up for 6 months to cover for a colleague on maternity leave. But when they asked me to stay on a permanent base after these 6 months, I haven't doubted on my decision to stay for a second._

  • Every supply chain planner receives a product portfolio of several subgroups to take care off as they are your own children and keep them in a healthy condition. This for sure requires an analytical mindset, as we need to ward our stock levels in having not too much stock, avoiding back orders, try to avoid expired or short expired stock and to keep the stock moving towards the forecast to fulfil the customer demand. All these topics are discussed once e month together with our manager and colleagues, to see what's ok and what can be improved. Daily communications with direct colleagues, managers, business unit members or customer services are for sure above the analytical part very important for my job. But as a member of this great supply chain planning team, I can tell the interaction I have with my colleagues in sharing thoughts and helping each other, besides the great support of our managers makes my daily job a pleasure."_
