Your role & work environment


You will be part of the
Tribe Finance and Reporting, which has as
#1 objective to keep ING Belgium licensed to operate, through the maintenance and upgrade of its Finance and reporting systems, keeping these safe & compliant and improving them along the way.

You will join an important international bank that gives a lot of career opportunities, in Belgium and abroad. You will also join a bank who has put sustainability as one of the main priorities on its roadmap. Increasingly we will be working as a partner with all other departments on ESG-related data and reporting.


Your key responsibilities
As a Customer Journey Expert - Data Finance & Reporting your main responsibilities are:

  • Data management within your domain: define and manage data elements, analyse data flow (enrichments, transformation,) from sourcing to output, maintain documentation and share knowledge. Ensure BCBS 239 compliancy for key reports.
  • Data quality: collect and analyze data, define data quality requirements, design data quality checks, measure & report data quality issues and analyze & solve data quality issues
  • Data quality improvement: define structural solutions to tackle data quality issues, cooperate with IT and deploy new/updated ways of working with process owners, guarantee follow up

As a Customer Journey Expert - Data Finance & Reporting you will also need the following qualifications and competences:

  • Holding a master's or bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years relevant working experience
  • Data is your 'thing'; you like to work with data elements and (big) data sets
  • Having business knowledge about accounting and/or financial reporting is a plus.
  • Assertive, good verbal and written communication skills
  • Problem and root cause analysis: finding data issues motivates you and you like deep diving into the causes of the issues
  • Planning and organisation: set priorities for process and data improvement, work with IT for developing solutions and track till closure
  • Communication: maintain a permanent dialogue with all stakeholders (mainly Finance & IT) on what drives the quality of the data and how to improve it
  • Analytical mindset, pragmatic and solution oriented
  • Fluent in English. French or Dutch is a plus
