Job Summary:
The Role
We are delighted to be working once again with one of our long standing clients supporting them with senior hires in Belgium.
We are looking for a senior development professional who has a track record of delivery across large scale mixed use development schemes to include office, retail, residential and leisure.
You will be able to work in both a strategic and hands on fashion providing leadership to the internal and external project team.
The role will require experience of masterplanning, new build and asset improvement projects as there will be significant upgrade to the existing site alongside further development.
The role, which is based in Belgium, is responsible for the overall delivery of a large mixed use Development Project in line with the overall business plan directed by the Board of Directors.
The role involves overseeing and guiding the development and wider team involved in the project and co-ordinating with the asset management team who are managing the existing estate, to deliver a profitable development taking into account both the development potential and existing estate.
Experience, qualifications and skills
- A proven real estate development background with an extensive track record of leading the delivery from acquisition to completion, of large and complex major development / redevelopment projects in Belgium, on time and to budget.
- A highly organised and commercial individual with a proven understanding of real estate investment from a development perspective, as well as the ability to coordinate and lead a large number of stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.
- Ideally you will have a solid understanding of planning through to construction delivery and from refurbishment through to new development across multiple sectors, but with strong experience in the office sector and with mixed use projects. This will be allied to a thorough understanding of real estate investment and financing in order to optimise returns.
- Fluent Dutch and French speaking
- Local knowledge of Brussels
