Business Architect/Senior Expert Payments
The domain of Payments and payment solutions is developing fast. The innovation in payments is growing and consumers require solutions that support the digitalization of services and the E-commerce. At the same time it is important to ensure that payments operate seamless, fast and secure.

The regulation in the payments domain encourages more synergies across Europe but also requires continuously higher standards towards security, AML, KYC and fraud management.

Where financial institutions have fewer opportunities to translate the related costs to the consumers, a continuous search for efficiencies and economies is needed to temper the operational expenses of the payments services Payments operations should be lean, fast, safe and reliable and provided at a low cost.

In that challenging and dynamic context, we are looking for an experienced business architect/expert Payments with experience in the financial sector and a good understanding of market trends.

He/she can challenge the as-is payments organization and architecture and give guidance to build the payments organization and architecture for the future.

As a member of the Group Payments Expert unit, the architect/expert will look for synergies and opportunities to continuous improve our group wide payment services and give guidance towards convergence of the payment processes across the Group.

Responsibilities

As a member of a team of payment experts the payments architect/expert will contribute to building a vision, strategy and project portfolio to ensure our leading position in payments for the future.

We offer you an attractive working environment with a lot of flexibility in organizing your work and activities. As a contractor we offer an assignment for 6 months with the possibility for prolongation.

The specific assignment for the contractor will be:

Bring in the outside in view: challenge the Payment organization and processes based on good practices in the market.
Be an advisor for domains in the Group (e.g. Markets, Security Services, Asset Management) to provide guidance and advice regarding the introduction of a new payment risk controls
Prepare an exercise to evaluate the payments organization of the Group and examine possible alternatives for their added value in terms of efficiency and risk control.
Be open for new initiatives that will be initiated by the Group Payments Expert Unit

Qualifications

You have a master degree
You have a broad background with a minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Payments
You have a good business acumen and a broad interest in the world of Payments, Innovation and Trends
You have a good understanding of technology and have practical enduser experience.
You understand the risk and control environment of payment processes and are familiar with methods and solutions for risk detection and prevention
You follow the regulations and legislation around Payments
You are a strong communicator and can translate complex matters in a way that a broader audience can understand and contribute
You have impact in dialogues with senior management, you can present your ideas effectively and are a strong negotiator.
You have a high energy level, you can build a network and are a team player.
Good knowledge of English is required
