Rebalancing Quality and Price with Sustainability targets are on top of the CPO agenda together with a more tailored collaboration and visibility with the entire upstream supply chain.

This need for greater agility, while the bottom line is constantly watched, puts pressure on the procurement organization and the category managers/ buyers who are expected to keep pace within an ever-accelerating environment.

For our growing Supply Chain and Operations practice in Belgium we are looking for a
Senior Consultant to strengthen our
Procurement team.

Your key responsibilities

As a
Senior Consultant you support and (co-)lead project delivery teams improving our client's business performance, in line with our Exceptional Client Service approach, while helping grow our practice outside of your client work.

Drawing on your knowledge, skills and experience, you will start to build valued relationships with external clients and internal peers, support bids, proposals and thought leadership.

You will work independently as well as in teams. You will coach and support consultants and client team members, perform analyses and report finding and results.

You will share your expertise with about 40 other colleagues in the Supply Chain & Operations team of EY Belgium.

Our team focuses on delivering challenging projects across the entire supply chain.

Typical projects are the creation of a supply chain strategy, network (re-)design, supply chain planning, logistics & distribution, sourcing & procurement, and manufacturing excellence.

In addition, you'll actively establish and strengthen the relationships with our regional and global Supply Chain leadership teams and take part in our international communities.

To qualify for the role you must have

A master's degree, preferably Industrial Engineering, Business, Supply Chain or Logistics
Approximately 25 years of professional experience with a demonstrated track record of delivering sustained improvements in business performance, gained in industry and/or consulting
You are passionate about Procurement and can rely on strong knowledge and experience in this field or one of the subfields (category management, supplier relationship management, Risk management, ),
You are familiar with procurement technologies (eg. SAP Ariba, Coupa, Zycus, );
You have experience in one of the followings sectors: Public Sector, Pharma, Advanced Manufacturing or FMCG
Fluent written and spoken English, French and/or Dutch
Excellent analytical skills, drive, enthusiasm, conceptual thinking, communication and influencing skills, and pragmatism in execution

It's a plus if you also have

APICS certification is a plus
Project management certification such as Prince2 or PMP is plus
Experience working with specialized solutions including SAP Ariba, Coupa, Zycus or other
Any other additional Supply Chain, Project Management, Data & Analytics related certifications
