About the role

The Communications Manager for the Steel Wire Solutions division is responsible for developing and implementing internal and external communication plans for a complex business unit across all regions.

Your Impact as Communications Manager - Steel Wire Solutions (SWS)**:

You will act as a valued partner to the Business Unit leadership team, ensuring thorough understanding of market characteristics, business goals, and challenges.
You will partner with key project leaders to develop strategic change communication plans and related content to support the transformation strategy of the business unit.
You will offer strategic communication guidance to (senior) leaders for articulating and implementing strategy and culture with teams and external stakeholders.
You will support Bekaert's Steel Wire Solutions spokespersons globally, managing media contact and ensuring timely delivery of agreed messages and materials.
You will define, proactively build, and maintain a relevant network and relationships with key trade media journalists, industry associations, and other relevant contacts to facilitate the division's communication strategy.
You will measure activities against agreed targets and KPIs to inform future decisionmaking.
You will continuously improve SWS and Bekaert Group communications by leveraging market insights, refining strategies to drive customer and stakeholder value, ensuring alignment with the Bekaert brand identity through close collaboration with Global Communications, staying current on communication trends to create more engaging content, and initiating projects to enhance the overall Communications department.

About You

Essential skills & competencies:

You have minimum of 5 years of professional experience in media relations, communication, and reputation management, along with a bachelor's or master's degree.
Demonstrated proficiency in communication and stakeholder management, including constructive advice to senior leaders, is a key strength.
Your proven track record in international communications covers areas such as employee, marketing, media relations, crisis, and issues communication.
Strong planning and project management skills enable you to work autonomously or collaboratively to achieve objectives.
High personal integrity, adept handling of challenging situations with tact, confidentiality, clarity, and persuasion, and resilience amid change or heavy workloads are notable traits.
You exhibit excellent proficiency in both written and spoken English.
