Main responsibilities

The Cost Controller coordinates and follow the financial performance, optimizing profitability in line with the strategic directions.

Rationalize and exploit quantified information concerning production and operating costs, to provide management with decision-making support to optimize the company's performance.

Supervise the accounting team (2 people from Emerson Global Shared Service) and ensures that the company's accounts are accurately reported in compliance with standards and procedures.

The position will first require to predominantly focus on accounting activities and management, until the accounting team is autonomous, before focusing more on Cost controlling.

Activities

Supervise the accounting team, in collaboration with Emerson Global Financial Service, and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

Coordinate accounting closings and financial reporting.

Supervise supplier payments and customer collection.

Ensure the calculation and preparation of various tax, VAT and other periodic reports.

Ensure the smooth running of statutory and internal audits.

Analyze company performance, monitor financial results and recommend actions for improvement.

Participate in drawing up budgets in liaison with the various departments, and in collecting and analyzing information.

Supervise manufacturing costs, inventory costs and other management costs, and calculate margins and cost prices for products and/or projects.

Prepare management tools, periodic dashboards and other decision-support tools.

Monitor the budget and highlight any significant discrepancies between forecasts and actual figures, analyze the causes and propose corrective measures where necessary.

If necessary, participate in the development of management systems and the implementation of IT tools.

Ensure compliance with standards, procedures and regulations, including trade compliance.

Profile

First experience of Leading a team is an asset

Ability to collaborate closely with all internal and external departments (customers, suppliers), AEV management, the Emerson group and other service providers (auditors, taxes, etc.).

Need to be diligent to detail and compliance with standards

Ability to meet tight deadlines

Ability to understand business needs and challenges, and to analyze situations in this context

Ability to adapt to the company's environment. AEV is a fast-growing company undergoing constant change.

The individual is required to make budgetary and costing decisions in consultation with management.

Excel holds no secrets for you, and are you comfortable using IT tools (databases, ERP)?
