What can you expect:


As People Leader for Belgium & Luxemburg you will be responsible for the execution of the Marsh McLennan people strategy and providing leaders and managers in their Country with the full scope of HR support.

In this role, you will act in close partnership with the Marsh McLennan CEO and in collaboration with the leadership team to action the local growth strategy and align the local people initiatives to the global and regional priorities.

Additionally, as a key operational leader, you will be accountable for day-to-day delivery of HR services to the people managers and leaders in the Country.


As People Leader for Belgium & Luxemburg you will also be a forward-looking strategic HR advisor to the Country Leader and the leadership team, bringing expertise across the disciplines of HR and in the talent trends and dynamics.

You will be a critical member of the Country Leadership Team, representing the voice of the people function, seeking opportunities to align structure, talent, and people programs with organizational objectives, and influencing critical business decisions.


You will lead and inspire those around them by setting clear direction, embodying the Marsh McLennan Leadership Mindset, and empowering teams to perform.

We will count on you to:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the Marsh McLennan CEO and the Leadership Team on people and organizational design and effectiveness matters.
  • Provide consulting advice and counsel on complex peoplerelated topics; ensure advice and counsel reflect local legal issues, regulations, and market conditions.
  • Have a deep understanding of global Marsh McLennan people strategy and the people function's capabilities and services and communicates these with impact to Executive Leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Facilitate conversations and establish strong partnerships between business leaders and advisors from other parts of the People Function.
  • Ensure excellence of HR service delivery and standardization of processes and programs in order to provide a consistent, positive colleague experience.
  • Collaborate with their peers and COE and HR Services partners to translate business and HR needs into leading practice, cost effective and highquality HR services.
  • Oversee key talent, reward, inclusion and diversity, and organizational effectiveness processes/programs working in close partnership with our COEs.
  • Collaborate with the Employee Relations COE to provide business perspectives on policy matters and standardization; Advise on cases that require escalation to senior leadership levels.
  • Where required, act as the senior business representative in regulatory or statutory processes whether internal (e.g. works councils) or external bodies (e.g. immigration authorities).
  • Manage collaborative relationships with other Function and Business leaders, and coordinate strategies and tactics to align with Marsh McLennan's objectives.
  • Manage and holds accountability for the annual Country people budget; identify and oversee opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiencies.
  • Have direct accountability for managing direct reports and lead the full team of people partners and HR Managers in their Country.

  • Proven ability to lead complex operations and ensure delivery efficiency and excellence.
  • Proven ability to engage colleagues and build high performing teams and inclusive cultures.
  • Developer of strong partnerships with crossbusiness and functional partners that facilitate outcomes for our colleagues and company.
  • Highlearning agility and strategic orientation with desire to play an elevated role in building our capability and competitiveness in the market.
  • Language skills: proficiency in English, French and Flemish, both written and spoken.
