The Client, in partnership with other Commission services and stakeholders, provides high-qualitycorporate solutions/information systems for the Research and Innovation Family, enabling the successful implementation of the Commission's Digital Transformation and EU policies.

In close collaboration with other Commission services and its customers, the Client builds and operates solutions in the areas of grants, experts, and procurement management.

Sygma and Compass are the projects to build a System for Grant Management for the whole Research Family in order to support the operations of the Horizon Europe framework program, along with an extension to new programs, with the purpose to become the corporate Commission e-Grants solution.

The eProcurement program was launched in May 2017 and is running under the Grants and Procurement Steering Board (GBSP) with the aim to simplify, harmonize and digitize the end-to-end procurement process for the EC services and beyond.

The eProcurement program serves important strategic and business objectives, like Directives alignment, SEDIA, and Digital Strategy, and has clear expected outcomes and benefits, such as HR savings and others.

It has solid governance led by JRC as Business Domain Owner and relies on a strong business and solution partnership between several DGs, with well-defined roles and responsibilities.

The program has certain dependencies, synergies, and risks, and is managed with the SAFe methodology.

The eProcurement suite aims to cover and support all procedures, all contract types, all contract classes, and all procurement steps, both for external actions and for the common provisions domain.

The solution aims to be an end-to-end, fully integrated, automated, and paperless solution, and to offer a one-stop-shop both for suppliers and internal users (SEDIA).

The eProcurement team's main responsibility is to design and document the technical part of the Contract Management - eProcurement IT solution and develop the solution according to the specifications provided by the analysts.

The team delivers high-quality code in order to support users in their daily work. Furthermore, it provides support for operational issues. The eProcurement team requires the services of one
Application/Cloud architect (ACA)**. The solution assignment may change over time, according to the portfolio/project/service needs.

DESCRIPTION OF THE TASKS

The following tasks will be performed:

Analysis of the integration of different information systems
Data analysis and data modeling
Coordination of the implementation of the technical architecture
Technical interface between the project leaders and the developers
Production of software architecture documents
Assistance during relevant parts of testing, analysis, technical documentation, deployment, evaluation, and reporting
Creating designs and blueprints of Cloud Architecture
Review of the architecture of existing systems to migrate an existing system into the cloud
Design and development of architecture components and building blocks using cloud components
Architecture and design of information systems
Review of the architecture of existing systems
Analysis of the integration of different information systems
Production of use case models, software architecture documents, design and analysis models, and implementation models
Deployment of the components, help with release planning
Documentation of the technical implementations and the composites
Evaluate and test technical components delivered by other teams to ensure that they conform to requirements and methodology
Participation in technical working groups, progress meetings, and meetings with the users

LEVEL OF EDUCATION
The minimum educational qualification is the level of education corresponding to Level 6 of the European Qualification Framework which typically corresponds to a
bachelor's degree of 3 years

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
