To ensure that Lhoist develops and supplies the quality solutions that best fit its customer needs, it places a strong focus on technological innovation.


Hence, Lhoist has concentrated its efforts under the umbrella of its Business Innovation Center (BIC), where the teams are committed to continuous progress in close relation to customers.

Today, the R&D laboratory team is looking for a highly motivated lab technician.


ABOUT THE JOB
Your Roles and Responsibilities

  • Show an exemplary behavior, adhering fully to company values, and demonstrating a safetyfirst attitude
  • Carry out the tests and trials according to an experimental plan previously defined together with some colleagues in the frame of Global or Local innovation projects or technical support tasks
  • Carry out measurements and analysis according to well defined protocols
  • Record the data in excel files and an electronic notebook on a regular basis
  • Write some reports to present lab results
  • Inform supervisors of findings with the appropriate level of details
  • Take an active part in equipment and laboratory management (maintenance, cleaning, sorting )
  • Take part when possible to pilot or industrial trials
Your Profile

  • Bachelor in Chemistry or Material Sciences
  • Junior profiles (< 5 years of experience) are preferred
  • Good organization skills, result oriented and rigorous attitude
  • Dynamism, enthusiasm, curiosity and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Team spirit and collaborative state of mind
  • Flexibility, autonomy and good sense of priority
  • At least B1 in English. C2 preferred.
