Main Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • You support living together and have the task of monitoring, coordinating and executing the daytoday affairs in the transition house. In this way, you keep an eye on all actions that residents undertake on a daily basis (household tasks, personal hygiene, appointments with service providers, relaxation, group activities, etc.).
  • You act as the first point of contact and mentor for the residents.
  • You ensure that agreements and rules are known by the residents, follows this up and maintains control and supervision.
  • You chair the daily morning briefing with the residents and monitors their activities outside the transition house.
  • You guide residents in directing their own lives. Where necessary, you support both the group in the group processes and the individual residents in their recovery processes.
  • You have an eye for the talents of residents and create a (group) atmosphere that is safe enough for them to use those talents.
  • You communicate and work closely with the entire team so that themes that are alive in the group can be included in the process by the entire team.

LEVEL OF EDUCATION

  • Higher education in social work, psychology, counselling, or a related field

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Minimum 5years of relevant experience in a similar social care environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Empathy, patience, and the ability to establish trust and rapport with residents.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines.
  • Flexibility outside of working hours
  • French and English, Dutch is a plus.
