Jouw uitdaging:

As Team manager engineering of the Capex Projects you will be
leading, coaching and developing a multi-disciplinary team of about 20 engineers which is responsible for executing investment projects for the operational department at BASF Antwerp in a lean and successful way.

In this role you are:

The prime counterpart of the Vice President operations with whom you align on prioritization and starting of investment projects.
Responsible for a proactive resource and portfolio management in order to find the balance between customer demand and worklife balance of your team. You will translate investment plans into engineering resources.
An active member of the Engineering Management Team and you will contribute to foster the cooperation between our Operating Divisons the different groups of the department Engineering and Technical Services of BASF Antwerp.
Contribute to the further development and implementation of the site engineering strategy for which you will obtain Customer Feedback as a prime input to make suggestions to improve the processes within the department

Beside the role of Team manager, you will also be the
sponsor for the process engineering community. You will be responsible for the development of process engineering as discipline, but also for optimizing the role of process engineering to the benefit of the entire engineering workflow of projects

Onze ideale match:

You have obtained a master degree in engineering with major in process technology or chemical engineering.
You have experience in the field of engineering, preferably you have managed investment projects yourself.
You are a relationship builder that can relate both to operations stakeholders and engineering resources and are passionate about reconciling their sometimes conflicting interests.
You are proficient in English and in Dutch or willing to become.
You also have strong strategic, organizational, as well as change management skills.
You are analytical and can translate conceptual thinking into practical, lean implementations.
You are motivated, pragmatic and proactive in your actions.
