VECTURIS is looking for a
Business Controller (in Africa).

Your Role

The Business Controller is based in a railway concession in Africa where he/she is responsible for ensuring compliance with budgetary guidelines, implementing and maintaining tools and practices to control and monitor budget allocations and performance, feeding and maintaining cost accounting and coordinating the implementation of budgets.

This includes:

Develop the rail strategic plan 5 years
Put in place the financial systems and processes
Implement cost savings and optimization
Identifying revenue growth
Review short terms and long terms operation and financial objectives
Establish the required financial policies and procedures
Develop the capex plan
Review the investments and make recommendations
Develop and coordinate the rail risk management strategy
Review and assess the internal control
Develop financial and operating reporting
Develop and animate a key performance indicators system
Permanently evaluate contracts and make recommendations
Manage the cash control along the rail corridor also in relation with the Coordination manager
Manage the analytical and cost accounting

Your profile

You have a Master degree in economics, business, accounting or equivalent
At least 5 years of professional experience in the field of management control in a transport or industrial company
Excellent command of IT tools, in particular Excel and PowerPoint
You are willing to move to Africa
Fluency in English is mandatory
Fluency in Portuguese is a major asset
Experience in the railway sector, experience in Africa, knowledge of ERP, financial and operational models, and an appetite for operations are assets
Driving license
