Job purpose:

Your responsibilities:

You lead the Downstream process development of several drug substance projects, while driving implementation of latest industry trends and stateoftheart technologies.
You design and plan of experimental protocols and lead horizontally a team of technicians, while ensuring strong presence in the lab.
You are a key contributor for the generation of stageappropriate data and documentation packages for regulatory submissions using QbD principles (Technical risk assessments, process characterization, etc).
You build strong collaboration and integration with the other CVDS teams and transversal teams (Manufacturing Science and technology, GIO).
Why you?_

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:_
PhD in bioengineering, biochemistry, biotechnology, chemistry or equivalent or a Master in bioengineering, biochemistry, biotechnology, chemistry or equivalent.
A minimum of 35 years' experience in chromatography and different purification techniques such as tangential flow filtration (TFF) and associated instrumentation such as AKTA chromatography systems and Unicorn software.
Excel at complex problem solving through critical thinking using knowledge gained through formal education, experience, and sound judgment.

Preferred qualifications:

If _you _have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:_
Experience with Quality by Design and development of downstream process for purification large biomolecules.
Two or more years of experience in research and development in Biopharmaceutical industry or government laboratory setting is a must.
Experience in Design of Experiments (DoE) & highthroughput process development (e.g. plates or robotcolumns in Liquid Handling systems such TECAN).
