As ICT Project Portfolio Manager you play a critical role in overseeing and managing the organization's portfolio of all initiatives that eventually lead to ICT changes: business requests and projects with an ICT dependency, ICT projects and tactical changes. You will be involved in the financial processes of the ITD department and will support and report on the successful execution of projects, aligning them with organizational goals, and maximizing the value and return on investment of the ICT project portfolio.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain the ICT project portfolio strategy aligned with organizational goals.
  • Support in prioritizing and selecting projects that align with strategic objectives.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and manage expectations.
  • Manage investment budget requests, including the administration of purchase orders.
  • Control the financial and aspects of the ICT department, ensuring adherence to budget, timeline, and quality standards.
  • Conduct project reviews and provide guidance and support to project managers, ensuring adherence to project management best practice and maximizing project success.
  • Present portfolio performance reports and recommendations to senior management.
  • Establish effective governance frameworks and policies for project selection and execution.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and implement process enhancements, and potentially (project) manage small process (or other) improvements.

For this role we are looking for someone who is inclined to think in structures and processes, and has experience as a project manager within an IT department.

  • Active experience as project and change portfolio management
  • Good knowlegde of ICT project management methodologies and techniques.
  • Strong financial acumen and understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Good understanding of IT governance frameworks, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent analytical, problemsolving, and decisionmaking skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic ICT landscape and stay updated on emerging technologies and trends.
  • Speaks and writes fluent English and Dutch/French/Spanish.
