Supervisor QC

In this role you will

Supervises a team of 4 to 10 laboratory technicians (train and develop the team; plan, prioritize and control laboratory activities; Page 2 / 5 manage the resources) and proactively anticipates resource needs.
Guarantees good communication within the team and with the management.
Assures the efficiency of Quality Control (quality, delay, results interpretation, KPI) and releases results of tests conducted in his /her laboratory.
Assures the success of new methods transferred in his/her team
Be an expert in tests for which s/he is responsible (must have indepth understanding of scientific foundations and practical aspects) and participates in working groups in his/her field of competency (inside and outside GSK). Proactively proposes testing improvement in the frame of his/her laboratory and guarantees the appropriate review of the scientific knowledge in his /her field.
Recognized as an expert by control Authorities, s/he provides analytical information in his/her field of competencies to national authorities and provides support to other GSK Bio Department (Manufacturing, RA,..)
Manages Critical Deviation and investigation. Leads task force for solving QC issues
May play the role of QC product coordinator.

Qualifications & Skills:

Masters in molecular biology
Fluent in French and a good level in English
Practical and theoretical knowledge in the domain of laboratory activity (eg. Biochemistry, Virology, )
At least 5 years of experience in the field
Experience in people management

Preferred Skills

Ability to engage, influence and lead people
Project management skills
Ability to work autonomously and effectively in a highly matrixes organization
Ability to obtain information and identify key issues and relationships relevant to a longrange quality goal or vision; committing to a course of action to accomplish a longrange goal or vision after developing alternatives
Demonstrated knowledge of regulated environment of pharma / biopharma / vaccines industry.
Ability to communicate complex information both orally and in writing. Ability to listen effectively.
Ability to drive change
